Running Technique Coach
It was only when I became a certified running technique coach that I discovered that by becoming a more efficient runner I could not only run further but also a lot faster. By improving my running technique I was able to achieve my long term goal of running 5km in under 20 minutes.
What does Running Technique Coach do?
As a running technique coach I will look at the way a person runs and work together with them to help them to become a more efficient runner.
Benefits of more efficient running
- Lower Chance of Injury due to poor running technique
- Less chance of long term damage due to poor technique
- Faster times
- Better Pace
- Learn to use the correct muscle groups for running
- Learn the best pre and post run routines
One example of inefficient running is what happens to our arms during our run. What we do with our arms influences what happens to our legs which in turn affects our speed as well as our efficiency. The result is that our efficiency is compromised. Due to poor technique we end up recruiting muscles which should be assisting instead of driving us.
Zero2Thirty
For those wishing to undertake a slightly bigger challenge. Come and join us on our Zero2Thirty training program. The aim of this is to get people from no running, to running for 30 minutes non stop. This is a great challenge for those aiming to do 5km runs such as Park Run.
If you’ve mastered the 5km run, join us for our Thirty2Sixty program and start on your 10km PB!
Thirty2Sixty
Thirty2Sixty is the next stage in which we focus on running for a full hour. This is a great course for those aiming for 10km runs. The main focal point is to get to the magical one hour of running and then work on running faster.
